Why is it that the minute we decide we need to make money doing something we love, we begin to stop enjoying it?
I’ve been getting lots of messages of a similar theme recently, as I’m sure many people have been. These messages have come in social media posts, books, movies, chats with friends, even just random thoughts that pop into my head.
The message is that the minute we decide we need to make money doing something we love, we begin to stop enjoying it.
Why is this universe so bloomin’ awkward!!
(Ok it’s not awkward, it just speaks a different language than we do).
But why is this?
Perhaps it’s because we lose sight of why we are doing it in the first place and our beautiful love of what we are doing is tainted with the pressure of it now paying it’s way.
That need for money shifts our mindset and kills our passion and, if you follow the law of attraction, causes us to always need money. We don’t see any money come in (because we are in a state of always needing it) and decide we need to work harder, create more programs, have a million things going on at once, be constantly busy, leading to burnout. When all we really need to do is let go of the need for money. There’s a point when the scales are tipped and you just stop enjoying it, and it’s because your reason for doing it has changed.
Letting go of that need, believing we already have more than enough, is the key to having more than enough.
And this applies to every other area in our lives too, our health, our relationships, our love lives, our career….. every single area.
“Once you need something you will always need it, you won’t get it until you stop needing it.”
You would think so, wouldn’t you?
Simple yes, easy…. well that depends really. I can’t imagine it’s easy for someone with no financial support or income to believe they have more than enough money. I can’t imagine it’s easy for someone struggling to feed there children to believe they have more than enough money. Changing what we believe isn’t easy, especially when we are faced with it every day.
So if you can’t feel you have enough in the financial area, perhaps take a look at other areas where things are better. Maybe you have a loving partner, or children who love you. Perhaps you are physically healthy or have lots of friends. Finding something to feel good about and appreciate in your life is a great starting point. I know it sounds cliche but appreciation for something is extremely powerful. We tend to over complicate things, but it really is very simple and appreciation can shift your mindset instantly. Maybe give out genuine compliments to other people, offer to help someone. It’s ok to do this for you, it helps to raise your vibration, fills your body with feel good hormones. And because you are doing it for you, you don’t expect anything in return!
“Worrying about money is the worst possible way to attract money into your life.”
I get several spells of messages come to me and every single one of them is about letting go of something. Maybe even everything! Letting go and surrendering, going back to that childlike wonder of what will I experience today.
As far as manifesting goes, this message reminds me it’s good to spend a short time each day visualising in some form (meditation, visualise, write, create) this is a great practice, but only when we are feeling good, perhaps after thinking about what we can appreciate. Then we let it go for the rest of the day, stop thinking about it, do something else. Do not think about it at all. Enjoy your passion without thinking “how can I make more money from this”, let that go!!
Writing is my passion, I love to write and share my ideas. I don’t enjoy writing when I feel like I have to perform or be a certain way. For me inspiration isn’t something that can be forced, it has to be allowed and when I am resisting things I choke that inspiration.
This message was my message and one I’m paying attention to. Perhaps you noticed I had neglected my blog a bit recently.
Maybe it will help some of you too x
