It’s been some time since I last blogged, I actually started this blog a few months ago, but never got around to finishing and publishing it.
So today I want to chat a bit about healing. In my opinion, I believe that most of us are focused on symptoms we have and look for a way to remove these so we can carry on with our ‘normal’ life. The thing is, I believe our symptoms are our body’s way of asking us to make a change.
If we look at a typical symptom. I’m going to use gripping pains in the abdomen and/or loose or compacted stools as an example here to make it easier to understand. This is common in those who are diagnosed with IBS. This is an extremely life impacting condition, you may be given medications from the Dr to treat these symptoms. These may be medications to help you cope with the pain, or spasms. Or it may be to either help you go to the toilet or stop going as often. The medications work on and change the physical body, whilst at the same time having a negative side affect on the energetic and physical body due to the chemicals involved. There are no chemical medications I’m aware of that have a positive side affect on the body other than removing symptoms.
All great yes? No not really, this person is likely to be on drugs for the rest of their life (which of course suits the pharmaceutical companies!)
You see all these medications are doing is treating a symptom, they are not dealing with the cause which is the real issue here. The symptoms are just the body’s way of telling you something is wrong. In the case of IBS this is often stress or diet. In fact stress and diet are the main causes of virtually every ‘disease’ you can get! What these symptoms are telling us is that they are begging for us to make a change. Disease is really just dis-ease, your body is telling you it’s not happy.
If we look at energy healing, there are many different forms of energy healing but they all work on a similar principle of moving the body into a higher vibration that allows the body to heal itself. Yes energy healing can be extremely effective and will heal causes as well as symptoms. Which is of course fantastic! But why is it that sometimes energy healing works and other times it doesn’t?
(I’ve discussed this in a previous blog how our beliefs can actually block healing and I have a free video course teaching how energy healing works for anyone who is interested in finding out a bit more.)
In some case energy healing will work but then the illness or pain will come back. This is because if we aren’t removing the thing that is causing the stress it will eventually come back again unless you have regular healing sessions or learn self healing techniques. This is where energy healing can be just another pill (albeit, a much more healthy version of course).
The point I’m trying to make here is that our body is begging us to change something. I believe most illnesses are caused by some form of stress. It could be the food we eat or the environment we are in. I believe genetic weakness can be passed down through each generation, but I also believe genetics can be changed (epi-genetics). It could be that this weakness doesn’t show up for some time, until our bodies are under stress and symptoms begin to show up.
Whatever your beliefs are, you can see that if the stress is caused by something you are experiencing or doing, then your illness or pain is a symptom of that stress. And the only way to fully heal is to remove that stress. Energy healing will definitely help, but as long as the stress remains the illness or pain will most likely come back. The pain or the illness you are experiencing is a symptom of this stress, telling you to make a change. So it makes much more sense to make these changes rather than treat the symptom.
Is energy healing just another pill? In a sense yes, it’s still relying on someone or something else to heal you. But it is much more empowering to self heal or go to a healer compared to taking medications prescribed by a Dr. and the side affects are reduced. But really we have to accept that our illness or pain is a symptom telling us that something else is no longer working for us. It’s a cry for help, and it will cry louder and louder until you either do something about it or drown it out and suppress it with drugs or alcohol or comfort food, or whatever your favourite numbing technique is.
Numbing the pain.
When we are in pain or discomfort we have to look inside and see what it is that we need to change in our lives. Remove the stress if possible, this is most often what we eat or drink and/or our immediate environment. Is the environment you are in positive and loving, or negative and draining? Is the food you are eating what your body wants as fuel, or is it what your emotions are wanting you to eat so you can numb that pain inside you? And I am speaking from experience here, I have never had a healthy diet in my entire life!! I’ve always given in to my emotional eating. Last year I started making changes to my diet and this year I have progressed to trying to clean up my body which is so congested it’s not surprising I’ve spent most of my life ill or in pain.
I hope this blog makes you think about what you are going through in your life. It’s so much easier to just numb the pain, but are you brave enough to look inside and identify what you need to change.
You don’t need to rush things or put pressure on yourself you will make those changes when you are ready, and when you are ready it will be so much easier to do x
